Day 6 (Mon 9th Sept 2024) was the 5th and longest day of walking, with a distance of 29.5km from Warkworth to Rothbury. We were pleased with the great day of walking weather, and walked in two groups as the 2nd groups breakfast was slow in being provided. So skies were clear, but the ground was still wet with many large puddles and muddy patches. The walk covered large farmlands, littered with old and new properties. A quick stop in Felton for a morning stack - scones with jam and clotted cream, we pushed on to finish the distance in a little over 7 hours.
