Day 3 (Fri 13th Sept 2024) was the 3rd day of walking along Hadrian's Wall, which saw us cover 24.0km from Greenhead to Haytongate / Brampton.
A most interesting day of walking with plenty more of Hadrian's Wall, lots of Roman Forts, lots of gates to go through, but a lack of taxis meant we had to walk quite a bit further. Taxis I hear you cry, we were scheduled to walk to Haytongate / Brampton, but it was agreed we'd walk further today to Newtown and shave 4 or 5km from tomorrow's last walk. After covering 20km to Newtown, no taxis were available for hours, so what do you do to cover 4km to get back to Brampton ... you walk it.
