Day 1 (Wed 11th Sept 2024) was the first day of walking along Hadrian's Wall, which saw us cover 24km - even though it was documented as only 20.5km. A cool morning, but the weather gods were again friendly with great walking weather, ok a brief hailstorm, but dry underfoot the whole way.
We weren't sure about the 'Strenuous' grading from the first 5km, but the remainder of the walk was continuously up and down, up and down over rolling hills.
