Day 5 (Sun 15th Sept 2024) was the last day of the Commonwealth Ramblers 2024 Hadrian's Wall walk, and the completion of both walks. Brendan, Joyce & Rod walked the 27km from Carlisle to Bowness-on-Solway, completing the goal of walking from UK east coast to west coast, and reaching the end of Hadrian's Wall.
Again, not an exciting day for siteseeing, it rained for 5 of the 7 hours walked so many wet farmfields had to be crossed again, and the muddy trails sure slowed us down. A completion dinner was enjoyed at The Beehive in Carlisle that night, and the following morning Danny, Brendan & Joyce left for further UK travels.
