Changeover 2025-26 & 35 Years
On Friday 27th June '25, eighty five members and friends enjoyed an excellent evening at the New York Bakery, Sovereign Hill.
Current members were joined by many former club members to celebrate the completed year 24/25, induct new president Clare Bennett and celebrate 35 years of service and fun in the Rotary Club of Wendouree Breakfast.
We were honored to have both DG Lesley Shedden and DGE Christine Dufty join us for the occasion.
Graham Hankin was recognised as a Paul Harris Fellow by the club for his service over 10 years and Bruce Norman was presented with a PHF + 4 sapphires in recognition of his personal contributions to The Rotary Foundation.
Outgoing president Andrew presented a year in review, detailing the many activities the club conducted in 24/25. Outgoing board members Jeanette Henwood, Phillip Lee, Jennifer Doolan and Rod Unmack were presented with service certificates for their outstanding contributions.
We also farewelled our youth exchange student, Harold Sap from Belgium, who has been a wonderful addition to the club during 24/25.
Later in the evening founding members Sue Lewis and Phillip Lee helped us to mark 35 years. Phillip outlined the club history – highlighting some of the more unusual activities that have been completed by the club – including purchase of a fairy floss machine and running a Deb Ball.
