During the year our club received the 1993-1994 Presidential Citation for Balanced Club Achievement in recognition of significant club participation in hands on service.
We had the pleasure of hosting the Rotary Eastern Region District 9780 Assembly and also hosted the welcome and farewell to District 1900 German Group Study Exchange Team.
Our first ever Rotary Exchange Student Svend Faegteborg arived from Denmark and we presented three Pride of Workmanship Awards to worthy recipients.
We partially greened Ballarat by planting over 400 trees at Morshead Park and conducted a Christmas concert at the Queen Elizabeth Centre in Sebastopol.
Eight students were sent to the Siemens Science Summer School at Deakin University and one student to the CRA Summer Science School.
Our annual golf day was very successful and resulted in the Queen Elizabeth Centre and Kelaston Nursing Home and Day Centre each receiving $4,500. Over $6,000 in addition to the Gold Day donations was distributed to various local and international causes.
