It's been a pleasure being president of the club for the 1995-1996 year with the many activities undertaken.
Fundraising activities included an open day at Mountflora Nursery, the sale of car raffle tickets, charity golf day and operating our fairy floss machine in public venues.
Internationally, Naomi Eddy joined a Group Study Exchange tour of Poland and Sweden and presented to our club. Chris McGillen was a successful candidate for a Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarship.
Community Service activities saw the establishment of a men's health night, a public forum where doctors and psychologists advised men (and women) on how to improve their health and lifestyle. We also had a Red Cross Blood drive, collected for the Red Shield Appeal for the Salvation Army and contributed to The Courier Winter Relief Appeal.
We sponsored eleven students for the CRA Science Forum for a week long science experience in Canberra and three young adults represented our club at the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards.
It was a pleasure presenting four Pride of Workmanship Awards at a club meeting to nominees from various businesses in Ballarat.
