Kay Macaulay ... 2011-12

We have achieved so many things over the past 12 months and I thank all members for their participation, hard work, commitment and dedication to ensuring that our Club is successful.

This year we continued to support local and international projects by raising over $17,000 through fundraising activities and distributing $30,730 in funds.

Our club as named as a finalist in the Parks Victoria category of the Regional Achievement and Community Awards and we successfully nominated the Department of Justice (Corrections) in the Rotary International Preserve Planet Earth Environment Award in recognition of their partnership with our Club in the Nerrina Wetlands project.

We were awarded a $2,000 Community Grant from the City of Ballarat which was used to purchase a fully equipped purpose built BBQ trailer for our Club.

Our club members were involved with the combined Rotary Clubs of Ballarat in the running of the Ballarat Swap Meet. This was an enormous effort providing some 400 volunteers, 15,000 visitors and over 1,500 sites.

I would like everyone to take a pat on the back, because the above could not have been achieved without great teamwork and we have all worked well together this year to be successful.
