Jennifer Hudson ... 2013-14

Throughout the year this club has been involved in many projects and acts of service. We cooked sausages at the Bridge Mall Farmer’s Market, Springfest, Ballarat Beer Festival and the Swap Meet. We changed smoke alarm batteries and delivered Christmas cards to the infirm and elderly.

We rolled up our sleeves to donate blood, sold Poppies and ANZAC Day badges for the RSL and weeded the garden at the Lighthouse Foundation house.

We collected nappies for mothers and babies in Fiji and we collected fabric for clothing and toiletries for the Bangladeshi orphanage.

Our club continued to support Rotary Youth Programs and we awarded an annual scholarship of $250 at Ballarat High School and Loreto College.

We were successful in being awarded a Global Grant to assist two schools in Ambon to put in drainage to prevent flooding of the quadrangle.

This year the club distributed over $30,000 in funds to Polio Plus, Rotary Foundation, Australian Rotary Health, Ambon and local organisations.

I think we can proudly say that our Club has had a very successful year in Engaging Rotary and Changing Lives.
