So many events have occurred through the year, Rotary Youth Leadership Awards, Royal South Street competitions, a plant and wine auction and the arrival of our incoming exchange student, Veronikka Kramer.
A most significant event was the staging of the Mental Health Forum, which has engendered significant positive feedback from all sectors of the community and a desire for a "repeat performance".
Our Vocational program throughout the year involved the Shine On Awards, and our candidate, Lauren Hayes was presented with her Award at a recent meeting.
One of the most significant projects that several Rotary Clubs in the Ballarat area embarked upon was the Rotary House Project. This is a residential facility to provide accommodation for persons receiving ongoing cancer treatment.
One of the most exhilarating projects completed during the year was the establishment of the Probus Club. It is titled the Probus Club of Ballarat Southern Cross.
Internationally, our club supported the funding of three pumps for the Community Wells project in the Philippines and donated goods for Donations in Kind for East Timor.
