Throughout this year it has been demonstrated many times that our members are truly committed to the ideals of Rotary.  Over the year we have been Lending a Hand in a diverse range of activities.

The Great Debate was an excellent night convincing the masses that the introduction of Women to Rotary has significantly enhanced the organisation. A sausage sizzle was held at Montrose Cottage and sending participants to National Youth Science Forum and Siemens Science School have all been a great part of our Rotary Service this year.

Five working bees were undertaken at Nerrina Wetlands and tasks inlcuded  the removal of tree guards and stakes from young trees, rubbish collection, weeding around young trees, pruning established trees and sanding and weatherproofing of seating, tables and rotundas.

Our annual Smoke Detector Battery Changing Service for the elderly was conducted and the Blood Donation Challenge culminated with 82 donations to the Blood Bank.

Our club sponsored two pre-schoolers for 12 months to attend kindergarten to assist those families who cannot afford it.
