It has been a very interesting experience to view the club from the position of the Presidents Chair.
Looking back over the year we have been involved in a number of activities and have served the community through giving blood through the Blood Bank challenge, visiting elderly residents at Christmas time, conducting a working bee at the Lighthouse foundation, changing smoke alarm batteries and giving Christmas gifts to underprivileged children.
Along with the Swap Meet we put our barbecue trailer to work, conducted a wine auction and participated at the Beer Festival to raise much needed funds.
This allowed us to support the 3BA Christmas appeal, donate a shelter box, provide adult literacy materials for our local library, host a group study exchange team from New York State, send glasses to Papua New Guinea, send a student the National Youth Science Forum and help a young person attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Award.
Personally, it has been a very rewarding year, and one that I feel most privileged to have stood before you each week as your President.
