Volunteers Week Expo

National Volunteers Week, held from 18th - 24th May, is Australia's largest annual celebration of volunteering. The 2026 theme is "Your Year to Volunteer", highlighting the profound impact of volunteers on local communities and encouraging more Australians to get involved.

On Wednesday 20th May 2026, club members promoted Rotary at the Ballarat Foundation Volunteers Expo. Held at St Patrick's Cathedral Hall in Dawson Street South Ballarat Central, the expo showcased the amazing work of local volunteer organisations and promoted the volunteering opportunities available in the community.

And it was great to catch up with Mikala Shannon from Loretto College who featured in our visual presentation. Mikala was sponsored by our club to attend Defying the Drift at Longerenong College in October 2024 and saw her picture on the screen as she walk pass our stall at the expo.
