After spending 17 years as a missionary in Timor Leste, Mary Anne Dwyer, now a retired Sister of Mercy living in Ballarat, had a dream to raise funds to buy a community vehicle for villagers to take their produce to markets and assist the elderly, pregnant women and handicapped people get to appointments.

Ater many years of fundraising Mary Anne needed $3,500 to reach the target to buy the vehicle.  The Rotary Club of Wendouree Breakfast held a Trivia Night on Friday 17th May, 2024 at St Alipius Church Hall hosted by Allan Peach from Trivia With A Twist to raise the final funds needed.

With One Voice Choir commenced the night singing Abba's 'I Have a Dream' and we are pleased that Mary Anne's dream will now come true with the club raising the $3,500 needed to purchase the vehicle plus extra funds for future operating expenses. A great night of trivia, dancing, raffles, auctions and nibbles was enjoyed by close to 100 people.
