RCWB in the Community

The Sat 1st/Sun 2nd March '25 was a busy weekend for the Rotary Club in the Community.

Firstly, we were very pleased to be able to donate $1,000 to provide food provisions for the Soup Bus who are experiencing high levels of demand for their services. The Ballarat Soup Bus is run by the Ontrack Foundation who rely on community support to deliver meals to those in need in the Ballarat community.

Pictured is Geoff Russell handing over a $1,000 donation to Soup Bus manager Lynda McDonald.

To be able to donate to worthy causes like the Soup Bus, the Rotary Club of Wendouree Breakfast raise money by working at many different activities, one is by Managing the Monthy Bridge Market. The monthly market enjoyed improved traffic management conditions and a perfect day for the event, meaning the crowd came out in healthy numbers.

Thanks to all the members who assisted manager Vicki to deliver the event, raising good funds for the club to donate. Traffic cops Rod & Mark kept the traffic well in order.

Our club has been recognised with a Gold Environmental Award from District 9780.

Congratulations to Sarah Masters and all members of the RCWB Environment Committee for the work you do to facilitate positive environmental outcomes and keep the environment front of mind for members. Several members were out and about for the Sun 2nd March '25 Clean Up Australia Day working bees at Yarrowee River and Rotary Centennial Park.
