Science studies have found that habitat loss is resulting in a decline of pollinators in our environment. Pollinators like native bees, insects, butterflies are essential for plants to thrive - they need homes to support bio-diversity and pollinate our food crops.
The construction of bee and insect homes has been an ongoing project of the Rotary Club of Wendouree Breakfast's Environment and Sustainability Committee for some time.
Members using recycled materials to construct the outer home which are then filled with natural materials creating holes and crevices ensuring a safe protected dwelling.
