Thirteen members from Wendouree Breakfast attended the assembly held on 16th May, 2010 at the Stawell Secondary College.

District Assembly had several new features this year - new sessions included the following:

Is there a place for Facebook, U-tube or Social networking? Marketing consultant and lecturer, Ian Knox, showed new ways to communicate with potential Rotarians and customers, not to mention children and grandchildren.

District Committees - have you ever thought about joining a District Committee? These session operated for Rotarians to experience the opportunities accessable at district level. These opportunities further ones service and fellowship options.

Rotary Leadership Institute(RLI) - 'a taster'. Testimonials from Rotarians who have completed Rotary Leadership Training highlighted the membership value of knowing more about Rotary. New and not so new Rotarians developed knowledge and understanding of Rotary and it's many facets and opportunities.

Dedicated sessions for Presidents, Treasurer, Secretaries - all the information and advice needed to make 2010-2011 a great year in our club. Jane, Kath and Mark attended these sessions.

Dedicated sessions for incoming Directors of Club Committees - picked up tips and information to help make the role easier. New projects as well as those more tried and tested were soaked up by our incoming directors.

What's it all about?- a session designed for new Rotarians was attended by Stewart Riddell, he found it most informative. It must have been fun as his report to the club was peppered with humourous anecdotes.

The last session was held at the Great Western Hotel on the trip home where the days new knowledge was discussed and shared.
