It was a privilege to have Juelz and Jen from Uniting Vic.Tas join us at for breakfast on 24 August 2022 and accept a donation to Uniting's Street to Home and Meals for Change programs.

Their presentation was sobering and the statistics of homelessness in Ballarat staggering so we were very happy to donate $1000 to each of the programs and an additional $1200 to purchase 10 sleeping gear and storage kits to be distributed to the most vulnerable members of our community.

The Street to Home program provides wrap-around support and material aid to rough sleepers.

While the Meals for Change program helps young people at risk of homelessness access and enjoy heavily subsidised meals in 8 wonderful local cafes. The dignity and connection that the simple act of sharing a meal in a café build self-belief, confidence and hope.
