Parent Beds Donated To Hospital
Representatives from the Rotary Clubs of Wendouree Breakfast, Ballarat East and Ballarat West were welcomed to Grampians Health Ballarat on 16th June, 2026 to see first hand the impact of their generous support.
Three new parent beds funded by the clubs have been placed in the Parent & Infant Unit, helping ensure families can stay together during some of the most challenging times in their lives.
The unit provides specialist inpatient care supporting parents experiencing significant perinatal mental health challenges. The unit offers a safe and nurturing environment where parents can rebuild their confidence, strengthen their bond with their baby and recover together as a family.
When partners or support people needed to stay overnight, staff were often unable to properly accommodate them in the single rooms, creating additional stress during an already difficult period. These new beds will help provide families with greater comfort and support throughout their stay.
