The Rotary Club of Wendouree Breakfast is pleased to announce that in December 2024 we became a member of the Communities of Respect and Equality (CoRE) Alliance.
Led by Women’s Health Grampians, CoRE is an alliance of over 130 organisations that all share a vision for a safe, equal and respectful society and are working together to prevent gender-based violence in our region. You can find out more here, or watch this brief video about CoRE.
Rotary Australia has identified two focus areas around Domestic Violence:
1. Raise awareness of and advocate against Domestic and Family Violence;
2. Educate our young people about Respectful Relationships
Rotary Club of Wendouree Breakfast believes that membership of CoRE alliance is a positive way to work towards these. We have recently commenced an action plan outlining the next 12 months, including participation in events / activities during 16 Days of Activism from 25th November to 10th December.
You can also sign up to Women’s Health Grampians’ quarterly CoRE Friends Network bulletin here.
