On Wednesday 15th July '26, Anthomy Sim from Upendo Foundation Australia gave members an update on the works at the foundation including new fencing and vegetation.
Anthony offered members and friends the opportunity of a lifetime to connect to the land, its people and wildlife in a truly authentic way. Taking in the best of east Africa and visiting the Upendo home in Siha via their Safari Tours with all proceed going straight back to the Foundation.
Our dancing President was born in Melbourne; Danny was the 4th son of 6 boys!
Danny went to school with many Greek migrants; this is where he learnt to play soccer with Ange Postecoglou!
Danny joined the army in 1979 as it suited his love for outdoor activities. This is where he met his eventual wife, Carolyn. Danny spent 10 years in the army rising to the rank of Sargeant. Danny loved his time in the army especially when post to Queensland at Army Aviation school.
After the Army, Danny moved to Bendigo to study IT at Latrobe University and eventually employed as Assistant Manager there. Danny spent much of his IT professional years at IBM where he retired in 2023.
In retirement you will find Danny most nights on the dance floor. Our dancing President enjoys many styles of dancing including Scottish dancing, Latin, ballroom and Rock & Roll.
