On Wed 5th Feb '25, members heard from Caitlin Grieve.

Caitlin was recently awarded Victorian State Rural Ambassador at the Royal Melbourne Show, competing against four finalists from across Victoria.

Part of the selection criteria was a three-minute speech addressing “What are the future risks to the success and longevity of agricultural shows and how do you think you can resolve these risks”.

Members of RCWB were treated to a confident and inciteful speech by Caitlin, highlighting the commonality in declining number of volunteers as a major risk factor. Caitlin will now represent Victoria at the National competition in the 2025 Royal Adelaide Show.
