During Youth Service Month (May) we enjoyed hearing from interesting speakers who are supporting young people in various ways.

On Wednesday 18 May Anthony Sim, Chair of the Upendo Foundation Australia, attended our meeting to tells up about the Foundation he is so passionate about. 

Upendo Foundation Australia’s sole purpose is to provide the financial means to operate a children's home at the base of Mt Kilimanjaro, Moshi, Tanzania.

The Australian team comprises of generous volunteers, sponsors and donors who support the Tanzanian team to provide a safe refuge for children who have no family support.

The team on the ground in Tanzania are dedicated to children who sadly all have distressing backgrounds ranging from physical and sexual abuse, abandonment, hardship and some are orphaned from the effects of HIV and AIDS pandemic.
