The Bridge Market

Saturday 7th Dec '24 being the first Saturday of the month, meant our Rotary Club members volunteered their time to run The Bridge Market in the Bridge Mall, Ballarat.

Being the last market before Christmas, it was certainly a big one with 37 stallholders attending, with much work required to get it all setup and operational by 9am. Everyone was a bit concerned when light rain fell around 8am, but luckily it didn't amount to anything, and even with dark skies for some of the morning, no rain fell giving stall holders and the public a great market.

The younger visitors had an especially great time, with may of them able to meet Santa - word has it that Santa granted quite a few wishes. All patrons were entertained by buskers; the Ukulele players were a crowd favourite.

As the market has grown, we were all on our toes to ensure safety during setup, running and packup. Not sure how any of our members had time to meet Santa.
