
The Youth Committee organises local and international projects to support the development of young people.

The Youth Committee supports young people within
the Ballarat community to participate in a range of Rotary International
youth programs including:
- Rotary
Youth Exchange
- supporting young people aged 15 and 16 years to spend 12
months living and studying abroad. Students from overseas
are hosted in Rotary families. The Rotary Club of Wendouree
Breakfast is hosting a student from Japan during 2008 - 2009.
Potential applicants from Ballarat for outgoing exchange will
be considered, please contact us for more information. Students
will be hosted through a Rotary club at the participating
destination.
- Rotary
Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) - developing the
leadership skills of young people aged 18 - 24years.
- National
Youth Science Forum - supporting budding young
scientists to develop their skills and interests in the field
of science.
- Seimens
Science experience - for current
year 9 students interested in science. The experience is held
at the University of Ballarat early 2009.
- Mentoring projects - to support disadvantaged young people
in the community have also been udertaken by the Rotary Club
of Wendouree Breakfast.
