Nicole Thomas Our Outbound Exchange Student For 2010

Our outbound exchange student applicant, Nicole Thomas, was successful in gaining endorsement as our outbound student for 2010.

Rotary District 9780 conducted the interview process over two residential weekends involving Nicole, her parents and her designated student councellor from our club, Rotarian Michael Scarlett.

Nicole will leave for Finland in January 2010 and will spend appoximately twelve months living with Rotary families, attending school and Rotary meetings and functions as well as having the opportunity to travel in Europe.

While overseas Nicole will have a Rotarian counsellor from her host club while retaining regular communication with Michael in Australia.

Presently Nicole is studying year 11 and has a keen interest in International Studies, music, langauges and maths.

She is school leader, music leader and sports captain, plays competitive sport and enjoys movies and debating. Nicole will be farewelled by the club pior to her travel date.
