GSE Team Visit Ballarat From USA and Canada

A Group Study Exchange (GSE) team from District 5020 USA and Canada have toured District 9780 during February/March 2009. All team members were from segments of the forestry industy so industry visits here were scheduled within forestry's many facets throughout the district.

District 5020's team visit was the paired visit with our District 9780. A team of forest industry personnel from our district returned from District 5020 in 2008.

The Group Study Exchange of The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International is a unique cultural and vocational exchange opportunity for young business and professional men and women between the ages of 25 and 40 in the initial years of their professional life. The program provides travel grants for teams of young participants to exchange visits between paired areas in different countries. For four to six weeks, team members study the host country'a institions and ways of life, observe their own vocations as practrised abroad, develop personal and professional relationships, and excahnge ideas.
