Over $3,500 Raised At Relay For Life 2007
Thirty two members, friends and family walked for 18 hours. While the weather started well, during the early hours of the following morning, a wind storm whipped up a frenzy, sending tents, chairs and banners flying around.
This was enough for the event to be finished short of the 18 hours. Our members, Tim Stobo and Dennis Best led the survivors and carers lead lap. Our new banner had its first outing, so we were quite visible and identifiable in the borrowed scout tent.
Our pizza sales were very well received, with chilly winds late at night. This year we raised just over $3500.
