Members Door Knock for Salvos
Members from the Rotary Club of Wendouree Breakfast door knocked on the weekend of May 28th and 29th May, 2011 for the Salvation Army Annual Red Shield Appeal.
Our club collected in the Lake Gardens area, and were able to raise $766.45 for the Salvos. These funds will be directed towards various community based programmes throughout the State.
In the Western Victorian Division, which includes Ballarat, the Salvation Army receives $2.7 million from the Red Shield Appeal to support the needy in our communities.
Those who helped from our club this year were Ross Keating, Stewart Riddel, Jim Nugent, Vicki Fawcus, Kath Venters and Raymond Reeves.
