Rotary Club of Ballarat East Win

The winners shield of the 2009 Blood Bank Challenge were presented to Ballarat East on December 15th, 2009 at the weekly meeting of the club held at Ballarat North Sports club for their effort of recording 67 donations.

President Bob Ford accepted the trophy from challenge coordinator Jim Nugent who explained that the real winners are the recipients of the blood donations. 

The main aim of the challenge is the donation of much needed blood supplies it also includes lifting the profile of the Red Cross Blood Bank and the Rotary organisation. The competition also provides an avenue for interaction and friendly rivalry between the Group 8 clubs of Rotary District 9780.
