IT Delivery at BRACE

Breakfast and a tour of the BRACE facilities was enjoyed on October 19th 2011.

CEO Christopher Carroll gave a brief history of the organisation before talking about the succesful upgrades to the site and the diverse range of courses delivered to meet current employment needs.

"Investing in Education and Training" government grants received a lot of bad publicity due to 4% of monies being badly used.

The grant received by BRACE is not one of the 4% as it has allowed the organisation to upgrade facilities for the delivery of programs that give youth hope in creating a career.

Now the fourth largest deliverer of continuing education and training in Australia it boasts 4 - 5 thousand students, 30 volunteers and 200 staff.

Brace delivers ongoing IT training for businesses as well as individuals and their largest growth area is adult literacy and numeracy. Hundreds of 16-18 year olds leave school each year without the skills to gain employment.

The young people who prepared and served our breakfast were a credit to the value of training. Pleasant, polite greetings and serve added greatly to our experience.
