Trivia on the Town
Nineteen members booked for the club's social event 'Trivia on the Town' held on Friday 18th June, 2010 and only half this number made the first trivia challenge by meeting in Arther Deakin Place in Camp Street, Ballarat.
Members huddled under the verandah of the former police station. From there the group moved to the Haida Bar, the current trendy bar for the social set.
Drinks and fellowship were enjoyed in the interestingly furnished upstairs lounge but unfortunately the weather prevented members from standing on the deck to gather data that may arise in the trivia questions.
Pouring rain soaked members as they scarpered from Camp Street to Lydiard Street via Police Lane.

Our destination was the Old Colonist Club for dinner and trivia; one of the oldest community clubs in Ballarat. Old Colonists prepared barbequed meats and roast vegetables followed by pavlova and cheese cake.
Trivia question included sections titled - something others would not know about you, observation, history of buildings and what the Ballarat Courier said today. Spirited shouting had to be mediated by Bruce Norman; it is amazing the effort Rotary members will go to for a chocolate.
