The Rotary Club of Wendouree Breakfast has a Social Committee that organises events throughout the Rotary year. The committee plans a variety of social events and family involvement is very much encouraged. Below are some of the social events that club members and their families have participated in.

The Festive Season 2011-2012

The club's festive season calendar was full of fun with a number of activities planned to celebrate both Christmas and the new year. Father Christmas visited the club, drinks under a summer sky and a picnic in the park delivered something for everyone.

Fear No Beer On the Move

Twelve excited drinkers met Rotary Friend John Ruyg (excursion leader) at the Ballarat Railway Station on 29/10/2011 for a beer tasting trip to Melbourne. The aim of the trip was to establish the fact that no beer is to be feared, all have their merits.

Eighteen Rotarians and friends met at Irish Murphy’s on Friday 19th August, 2011 at 5.30pm for drinks and fellowship organised by the club's Fellowship and Fundraising Committee.

Trivia on the Town

A night of fun was held on Friday 16th June, 2010 observing historical features, finding out secrets about our Rotary members and their partners and traversing the Lydiard/Camp Street precincts of Ballarat. The evening finishing with dinner at the Old Colonist Club, one of the oldest community clubs in Ballarat.

Croquet A Knockout With Rotarians

Rotarians and family members enjoyed an evening of fun and fellowship with a social outing to the Ballarat Peel Street Croquet Club on Monday 23rd March, 2010.

After meeting for drinks at Irish Murphys, club members dined at Saffron and Thai Pavillion before capping off the night at McCafe in a great night of food and fun.

Peel to Pub Walk

Peel to Pub – a family social event was held on Sunday 19th April, 2009. Club members met and walked the 1 hour section of the Yarrawee Trail between Peel Street North and Brown Hill Hotel prior to relaxing with a drink and good food.
