Presidents Changeover 2009

The Rotary Club of Wendouree Breakfast held their annual changeover brunch on Sunday 5th July, 2009 at the Barkly Motor Lodge in Ballarat.

Commencing at 9.45am, MC Rotarian Phillip Lee welcomed members, partners and official guests including :

District Governor Elect Jessie Harman proposed a toast to Rotary which was responded to by Past District Governor Ted Gaffney and Fines Master Stephen Britton finished off his year as fines master by extracting money from club members for the last time.

Prior to handing over to incoming president Kath Venters, President June inducted new member Gerald East, presented her annual report and recognised club member Jessie Harman by presenting her with a Paul Harris Fellowship for her contribution to Rotary. All Paul Harris Fellows in attendance were invited to the come forward for the presentation.

Outgoing President June Driscoll was presented with a Presidential Citation by District Governor Elect Jessie Harman. Each year, the President of Rotary International awards Presidential Citations to selected Rotary Clubs throughout the world. These citations are presented to clubs which have achieved the stated goals of Rotary International in the areas of membership and public relations and community, vocational and international service. Clubs must also achieve key goals in Rotary’s special areas of focus, which in 2009, was the area of reducing child mortality.

Kath Venters Installed As New President For 2009/2010

President June Driscoll then handed over to incoming President Kath Venters who addressed the changeover prior to introducing her new board for the 2009/2010 year:-

Prior to the conclusion of the changeover, President Kath announced the winners of the table quiz and the lucky deck draw which was won by Ross Keating.
