UFS Dispensaries CEO Lynne McLennanTo Update Members On The Rapid Growth Of UFS

 Lynne McLennan grew up on a farm at Balmoral in Western Victoria, and attended the local high school.  After a brief and spectacularly unsuccessful stint as a medical student, which was interrupted by too many visits to her boyfriend at Ballarat Teachers College, Lynne completed a Science degree at Monash University.  She has been married to the same very handsome man for over 30 years and has three children aged 26, 23 and 18.  The family moved to Ballarat in 1993 to take escape the big smoke.

Since March 2001, Lynne has been the Chief Executive Officer of UFS Dispensaries Ltd., a mutual healthcare group currently operating 19 pharmacies, two pharmacy depots, three medical centres, a gift shop and a well-being centre.  UFS has approximately 350 staff.  Previously, Lynne worked in Local Government for six years, most recently as a General Manager at the City of Ballarat.   Prior to that, she worked for the Victorian State Government for fifteen years in various policy and operational roles in the Department of Human Services, and as a Senior Policy Advisor in the Premier’s Dept.

Lynne has an MBA from the Melbourne University Business School, is a Fellow of the Williamson Community Leadership Program, President of the Board of Ballarat Health Services, a Board member of the Committee for Ballarat and a member of the LBWR Management Committee.  She also represents Victorian Friendly Society Pharmacies interests nationally as the Victorian Executive Member of the AFSPA (Australian Friendly Society Pharmacies Association).
