Caroline Winter Inducted Into Wendouree Breakfast
Caroline Winter was inducted into the Rotary Club of Wendouree Breakfast on Wednesday 20th May, 2009. Caroline was introduced to the club by Rotarian Jessie Harman.
Caroline is originally from Echuca and lived in Darwin for 15 years where she worked mainly at the Royal Darwin Hospital in administration positions. She was there during Cyclone Tracey and like most other people, helped clean up afterwards. Caroline lived in Albury for 14 years from 1989 and initially worked on the audit team at KPMG Peat Marwick and at local hospitals in finance.

For most of her time in Albury she was studying at Charles Sturt and Monash Universities and has worked in all kinds of jobs. In 2002 Caroline took up a position at the University of Southern Queensland in Toowoomba, Qld and then moved to Melbourne to a job at La Trobe. Caroline moved to Ballarat in December 2008 and works as Senior Lecturer in Tourism at the University of Ballarat. Her qualifications are PhD, (from Charles Sturt University in the area of environmental values and psychology), Master of Arts (Monash), BA(hons), BBus (Tourism Management), BBus (accounting).
Caroline is a cat person (as opposed to a dog person).
She is very interested in the battlefields of the First World War of the Western Front and has made a few visits so far. Caroline is a volunteer guide at the Shrine of Remembrance in Melbourne and is going to Belgium and France in July to do some more research about visitors to these places.
