Rotary Fundraising BBQ's Return To Farmers Market

The Rotary Club of Wendouree Breakfast and the Ballarat Men’s Shed were invited to provide BBQs at the newly established Town Hall Market.

It was a great community event that provided a fundraising opportunity for both Clubs to raise much needed funds for the local community.

Recently the City of Ballarat decided to relocate the BBQ to the Bridge Mall. 

As a result of the move we were advised that our services would no longer be required as there were a number of food outlets in the mall. 

We were disappointed by the decision as it had been such a successful fundraiser for the Club. The decision was reported in the Ballarat Courier and the reaction from the public indicated wide support for the BBQ.

We have been advised this week (15th July, 2011) that the BBQs will be returning to the Market in the Bridge Mall. We welcome the decision and look forward to again providing a sausage sizzle to the people of Ballarat as they wander through the Market.
