Cheque For Wine Auction Proceeds Presented To CFA
Two Ballarat Rotary Clubs have raised $9000 for new fire equipment. Ballarat West and Wendouree Breakfast held a wine auction last year to raise money for the CFA.
The groups presented a cheque of $9000 to the CFA in April 2010 to buy hose fittings for 15 brigades in the Pyrenees wine growing region.
Ballarat West Rotary Club Past President Alan Barham said the wine auction was held every year and the proceeds were donated to charity.
He said the Rotary Clubs normally sold wine at the auction from the Pyrenees area and decided to put the money back into the Region.
